Welcome to
Outdoor
Birdfeeders. Outdoor Birdfeeders, Inc. is your web
site to purchase birdfeeders online because bird feeders are what we
sell. We have a selection of backyard bird
feeders to choose from. A wooden bird feeder is a very natural look for
your yard and will attract many different kinds of birds and a
humingbirdfeeder will bring nearby hummingbirds to your yard for a
scrumptious meal. Would you like to purchase a bird feeder
online? Our backyard bird feeders will make a great gift for a bird
lover. And our hummingbird feeders are great additions to your yard.
Since
a wooden bird feeder is natural looking it will attract more wild life
to it. We also sell glass bird feeders and
metal bird feeders for bird enthusiasts who want to add natural beauty
to their sanctuary. Start searching our web site to purchase
bird feeders online. Go to the top left-hand corner of your screen to

NORMAN — Each day when I pick up my
toddler from school, I get a sheet telling me what he did that day.
Among other things, the sheet tells me when
and what he ate and what activities he participated in. Routine
activities include outside time, gym, reading and music. Occasionally,
special activities are written in. Last week, it was bird-watching. (In
my son's case, that probably meant bird-chasing. When he sees a bird,
he usually runs after it until it flies away.) Coincidentally, the next
day a co-worker mentioned she had been bird-watching.
All the talk about birds reminded me of a
news release I received last year that encouraged families to get off
the couch and away from the television over the summer by going
outdoors where they could explore the wonders of their own back yard
through activities like bird-watching. The release mentioned a Web
site, www.backyardbirdcare.org.
The site offers tips for setting up and maintaining bird feeding areas,
answers common questions about birds and includes six steps that will
ensure clean and healthy feeding areas. Activities such as coloring
books and puzzles are available for download by families, day care
centers or anyone else who wants to learn more about birds or
bird-watching.
If your family decides to do some
bird-watching this summer — whether it's for two weeks or two months —
consider adding to the experience by checking out books on the topic
from the library. Older children might even want to take photos of the
birds or keep a journal that tracks which birds visit the yard, what
kind of feed was used and when the feed and water were changed.
If it's been a while since your family
looked around at what's going on in your back yard, find some time to
do so this summer. You might be surprised at what you'll find when you
look at a bird with the enthusiasm of a 1-year-old.

Cardinals are non migratory birds found in North and
South America. They are a woodland species, attracted to bird houses
and bird feeders, especially those with a good source of
food.
They like to eat fruits, nuts, insects, sunflower and
safflower seeds, millet and cracked corn. They prefer to eat in a tray,
a hopper feeder, a platform birdfeeder or in any steady bird feeder. If
there are no steady bird feeders they will eat of the
ground.
